Wedding Make up Tips
Follow my step by step guide to create that perfect Look

Step 3 Concealer

Your foundation should give you the coverage you need to even out any blotches. Concealer is still a must to get rid of any unwanted shadows that might persist after foundation application. Use a small concealer brush to erase dark circles under the eyes, or any blemishes that are still visible.

Step 4 Powder

Powder is used to set your foundation, it may feel like more make-up than you are used to, but it will help maintain your make up look for the whole day. Use an identical shade as your foundation and apply lightly with a large powder brush.

Step 5 Blusher

To avoid looking washed out for photographs, make sure you apply a subtle blusher to your cheeks. For a natural flush apply a light natural pink shade onto the apples of your cheeks Avoid “shine” products as the glow they create can easily be mistaken for sweat. Sparkly make up can also look strange in photographs.

Step 6 Eye Shadow

Start your eyes by applying a light eye shadow all over the eyelid. This helps open up the eye and make them stand out more in photographs. Then apply the colour of your choice from the upper lash line to the crease of your eye. Blending is the key to good make-up, so don't leave any harsh lines. For a more dramatic look go for a darker eye shadow shade along the upper lash line. Try and get this as close to the lashes as possible, you can also bring this shade to the lower lash line if you wish. For maximum effect apply a dark eye pencil in the inner rim of the eye.

Step 7 Mascara

Mascara makes your eyes look bigger and whiter, use a waterproof product as there's bound to be a few tears on the day. Black is normally the best colour and don't be afraid to apply two coats. Don't use brown mascara as this can make eyes look tired.

Step 8 Eyebrows

Have your eyebrows professionally shaped before your wedding you may want to think about having a couple of sessions so book in early if you can. On the day enhance your eyebrows with the same colour eyebrow shade for an even look perfect for those wedding photographs.

Step 9 Lips

Use lip liner that matches your lipstick shade There are no hard and fast rules over whether to opt for a lipstick or a gloss on your wedding day. Some simply prefer one to the other. Whichever you veer towards, be sure to use a lip liner similar to the colour of your choice and blend using a cotton bud to prevent the lipstick or gloss from bleeding.

Step 10 Lips Blot your lips

When applying your lipstick, blot your lips with a tissue after one application and then reapply to guarantee a more lasting effect.

Step 1 Primer

Primer prepares the skin for make-up and creates a protective base. Pores and fine lines will be erased, leaving a smooth surface. A good primer will help your skin and ensure that your foundation lasts the whole day.

Step 2  Foundation

Foundation should match your skin tone and should be checked in natural daylight. Avoid anything too pale as this will make you look washed out in an ivory or white dress. Always check your jaw line to to make sure you haven't left a tide mark effect. Buy a foundation brush, it is the only way to apply foundation correctly.
